Banff National Park offers year-round educational exhibits at two visitor centers: Banff Information Centre and Lake Louise Information Centre. Both also offer seasonal films and interpretive talks led by park rangers and special guests. Topics range from bear safety to park history and ongoing wildlife conservation and research projects. Tunel Mountain and Lake Louise Campgrounds also have afternoon and evening events at their amphitheaters. In addition, visitors can take part in roving interpretive activities and guided hiking expeditions. Check with the visitor centers for a current event schedule.
Both visitor centers are generally open from 9:00 am to early evening, depending on the season, and closed December 25th. Check the Parks Canada site for current hours of operation.
